Steel-a-thon 2026 Simulation Round
Steel-a-thon is Tata Steel's annual business challenge for students of premier business schools in India. It offers the opportunity to work on real business problems and to be mentored by our senior leadership.
This year the challenge opens with a simulation. You will spend one working morning at a commercial desk at Tata Steel, making the decisions a Management Trainee makes in their first week. There are no slides to prepare and no prior knowledge of steel is required. What we are looking at is how you think.
Before you start.
This is a forty minute simulation. There are five stages and a single clock that runs across all of them. You cannot go back to a stage once you have submitted it.
Nothing here is a trick. There is no hidden trivia and no steel knowledge required. Anything technical is explained on the screen where it first appears.
Work as you would on a real Monday. Read what you are given, decide, and say why.
